Fixing a Cancelled Subscription in Stripe
To fix a cancelled subscription in Stripe and ensure it reflects correctly in HubSpot, follow these steps:
Verify the Subscription
- Check Recent Payment:
- Look at the most recent payment for the subscription.
- Ensure the payment date and amount match the expected values.
Create a New Subscription
- Add New Subscription:
- Click to add a new subscription.
- Update the product details to match the previous subscription.
- Modify the pricing to reflect the original amount.
Adjust Subscription Start Date
- Set Free Trial Period:
- Adjust the free trial days to align with the new start date.
- Select the correct start date in the calendar (e.g., August 12th).
- Confirm the trial length to end on the correct date.
Finalize the Subscription
- Create Subscription:
- Ensure all details are correct before creating the subscription.
- Note that the subscription will show as “trialing” in HubSpot.
Update HubSpot
- Modify Subscription Status:
- Copy the subscription ID from Stripe.
- Search for the subscription ID in HubSpot here.
- Change the subscription status from “trialing” to “active”.
Double-Check Automations
- Verify Automations:
- Ensure any automations related to the subscription are functioning correctly.
- Check the inbox for any recent automation triggers.
