Setting up “Apply Form URL”

How to Request “Apply from URL” from Indeed

To enable the “Apply from URL” feature on Indeed, which redirects applicants to your own application page, follow these quick steps. Keep it simple, act as if you’re a regular customer, and be ready with the right information.

Steps to Enable “Apply from URL” on Indeed

  1. Create a New Job Ad:
    • You need to have a new job ad created on Indeed.
    • Important: The job ad must have the same text as your application and the same job title.
    • Put the job ad on pause—it doesn’t need to go live yet.
  2. Prepare the Application URL:
    • Ensure your application form is ready and accessible via a direct URL.
    • Important: This URL will be required during your call to Indeed.
  3. Log into Client’s Indeed Account:
    • Ensure you are logged into the client’s Indeed account.
    • Navigate to the Payment Method page as they will likely ask for details from this section (billing zip code, owner/company name).
  4. Call Indeed:
    • Dial Indeed’s 800 number and select support for business customers.
    • Explain that you want to enable “Apply from URL.”
  5. Explain the Situation Clearly:
    • Keep the conversation casual; mention that you’re hiring for a position, have your own application, and learned about the “Apply from URL” option online.
    • Be honest: You’re seeking help with getting the feature enabled.
  6. Provide Requested Information:
    • You may be asked for your name and role (say you’re involved in hiring or working for the company).
  7. Follow Up:
    • You will likely need to send an email with the job ad link so the representative can review and approve it.

By following these steps, you ensure the process is efficient and avoids delays. Having the job ad created and paused aligns with Indeed’s requirements, and staying casual keeps the conversation flowing smoothly. Ensuring the titles and application text match helps to avoid any account flagging.
